Search

Use the form below to search for documents in this Web site containing specific words or combinations of words. The text search engine will display a weighted list of matching documents, with better matches shown first. Each list item is a link to a matching document; if the document has a title it will be shown, otherwise only the document's file name is displayed. A brief explanation of the query language is shown below, along with examples.

For ease of access, our model lists are formatted for both interactive information and speed of loading: if you are offered multiple choices of the same 'Document Title' in response to your Search, always click on the 'Document Title' with the most recent date given

Notes on the Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

AEC Routemaster
finds documents containing 'AEC' or 'Routemaster'

AEC OR Routemaster
same as above

AEC AND Routemaster
finds documents containing both 'AEC' and 'Routemaster'

AEC NOT Routemaster
finds documents containing 'AEC' but not 'Routemaster'

(AEC NOT Routemaster) AND Edinburgh
finds documents containing 'AEC', and 'Edinburgh' but not 'Routemaster'

Ley*
finds documents containing words starting with 'Ley'
